Easy Covid Testing
The era of Covid is an uncertain one that affects everybody on every continent and every country. Many of us have managed to skip getting infected with COVID-19, and many more have not been so lucky. We all know friends, family and work colleagues that have been infected and, worse, died due to Covid.
Government, news agencies and many other sources suggest that we stay at home to reduce the risk of COVID-19. As good as this strategy is, we have to work, we have to buy food and live life in a new form of ordinary. So, there will always be a risk of getting infected.
Covid Testing in South Africa
What do you do if you suspect that you may have Covid? First of all, self-isolate! Please do not carry on with your regular routine until you know if you have Covid or not. This could have devastating effects should you test positive. Stay at home and get a Covid test!
If you are self-isolating and do not want to leave your home for a Covid test, you can make use of a private mobile Covid testing service where a nurse will come to your home and take a test swab and send it to a lab for processing.
Mobile Covid testing is not an option for everybody. An alternative is going to a Covid testing station to be tested.
If you test positive, please stay in self-isolation for a minimum of 10 days. Seek medical advice and help from your General Practitioner if necessary.
Most Covid testing services in South Africa offer PCR Covid tests and provide results within 24 hours.
