Country Style Tuna Bake Recipe
Try something different for dinner tonight! This Country Style Tuna Bake is the perfect way to spoil the family for lunch or dinner.
Serve with fresh bread and a crunchy green salad!

Ingredients
- 125 g Screw noodles
- 5 ml Canola or Olive oil
- 1 Onion (Chopped)
- 125 g Sliced mushrooms
- 15 ml Flour
- 15 ml Tomato paste
- 125 ml Milk
- Pinch of dried basil
- Pinch of salt
- Pepper
- Grated cheddar cheese
- 1 tin Tuna in brine (drained)
- 10 ml Grated parmesan cheese
Method
- Preheat oven to 150 degrees celsius
- Cook the pasta in plenty of boiling, lightly salted water until just tender. Drain and set aside
- Heat the oil and saute the onions and mushrooms
- Blend in the flour and add the tomato puree
- Mix in the milk, basil, salt and pepper. Continue stirring until the mixture thickens
- Combine with the cooked pasta, cheese and tuna
- Pour the mixture into an ovenproof dish and sprinkle with the parmesan cheese
- Bake in a preheated oven for 25-30 minutes
