Milo Malva Pudding Recipe
This is a perfect winter dessert, but you can make it in any season that you please! It can easily be served hot or cold and goes perfect with a scoop of ice cream or custard.
Ingredients
Base
- 250 ml Sugar
- 250 ml Soft Butter
- 1 Egg
- 275 ml Cake Flour
- 100 ml Milo (Powder)
- 5 ml Bicarb
- 250 ml Milk
- 10 ml White vinegar
- 10 ml Vanilla essence
Sauce
- 100 gram Milo chocolate
- 125 ml Fresh cream
- 160 ml Milk
- 30 ml Butter
- 80 ml Milo (Powder)
Method
Base
- Pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius
- Beat the sugar and butter together. Add the egg and beat well
- Add the flour, milo powder and bicarb and mix together
- Add the milk, vinegar, vanilla essence and mix well
- Bake for 30 to 40 minutes
Sauce
- Melt the chocolate, cream, milk and butter together over a low heat and stir continuously until chocolate is melted
- Add the Milo powder and stir until all the milo powder is dissolved
- As soon as the pudding comes out the oven, pour over the sauce and allow to stand so that the sauce can seep in
- Enjoy as a stand-alone dish or with a scoop of ice cream or a dollop of custard.
